NICOLSON  WOODWORKS

Alex Nicolson grew up loving trees and buildings things so a career in woodworking  was a natural progression. After studying theatrical design and art history at the University of Richmond, Alex moved back to Mobile and worked with Glenn DeGruy, a local furniture-maker, for seven years. Building on this sound base of classical tradition, Alex started Nicolson Woodworks in 2018 near downtown Mobile. With a critical eye for design and strong technical and finishing skills, we at Nicolson Woodworks seek to exceed our client's expectations in every way. 



In his free time, Alex is an avid walker in the woods and vegetable gardener, as well as playing the banjo well and the fiddle badly.
